Description | IBM Changer Bus Enumerator received status (NTSTATUS 0xC0000284) on IOCTL 0x0, attempting failover. |
Event Information | Version 6.0.8.2 of the IBM Ultrium Device Driver does not have capability to disable changer path failover event logging. The messages do not affect the completion of TSM and library tape operations. Customers that have purchased the 358x library without the Control Path Failover (CPF) option (hardware activation key required) will only have one default control path enabled on the library, typically, Tape0. The 6.0.8.2s installation utility will install the necessary drivers for CPF, regardless if the library supports the feature or not. These drivers are producing the Event ID 4 messages. The messages are of no concern. To stop the messages from being logged, Customers can upgrade their IBMTape driver version to 6.1.0.9 or higher. In these releases, the drivers have been modified to allow the suppressing of these messages. Users with IBM 358x LTO library devices may see error messages logged in the Windows System Event Viewer when TSM tape operations are performed. |
