Description | Fail: Buffer Pool Exhausted |
Event Information | According To Cisco: It is important to review various process logs such as pgag, ccag, rtr, pim, and opc files to determine if this is a frequent problem. Sometimes the various logs show a reason for the BufferLimit overflow that can be corrected without increasing the BufferLimit. You do not want to arbitrarily just increase the BufferLimit because that can mask the real problem. If you have reviewed the various log files and determined that there is no specific error condition that is generating the Pgag fail: Buffer Pool Exhausted message, then you can increase the BufferLimit to see if the problem clears. Note: When you increase the Buffer Limit, you take away resources used by the operating system. Check the amount of RAM and review with the customer before you make the changes. |
