Event Information | This message from newsgroup may help you: -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The lack of CPU activity has me puzzled. You need to find out what is starting and what starts it. This programme is a good source of information: It might also be helpful to see when processes start and this programme could help in this respect: You will need to use View, Select Columns to get the information you need. You could be looking for malware, a bad driver or something else. Remember what we are looking for is something that seemingly does not appear in Windows Task Manager and perhaps not in Process Explorer. Are there any yellow question marks in Device Manager? Right click on the My Computer icon on your Desktop and select Properties. Hardware, Device Manager. If yes what is the Device Error code? Try Start, Run, type "sigverif.exe" without quotes and hit OK. What drivers are listed as unsigned? Disregard those which are not checked. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------. |
