Description | SMTP server cannot create file %1. |
Event Information | 1.May be a permission issue. Check all the folders under the Mailroot
folder and its sub folders. The Account under which the SMTP service is running,
should have Full Control with no denies. 2. Check for available disk space on the hard drive that holds the mail queue. 3. The systems physical or virtual memory may need to be increased. Following information from newsgroup post may help you. 1. In case of IIS, check your NTFS permissions on the SMTP folders in inetpub. Be sure to run your SMTP application in process to avoid permissions issues. 2. If the service didnt have adequate permissions on the \mailroot queues , then it would log that error. In addition, if the SMTP virtual server had problems starting up or initializing , it would log it also. 3. Delete the SMTP server under the IIS MMC and create a new one. |
