| Event Information | According to Microsoft : Explanation: The ConsistencyCheck subkey is necessary for WINS to do periodic consistency checks on its database. The WINS configuration is stored in the registry in the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\WINS\Parameters subkey. User Action: To check and correct WINS registry settings: 1) Open Administrative Tools, and then open WINS. 2) Right-click on the server in question and then click Properties. 3) Click the Database Verification tab. 4) Verify that the consistency check settings are correct. 5) Make any necessary corrections. |
