Event Information | According to Microsoft : Cause : This event is logged when The Task Scheduler service failed to set a wakeup timer. Resolution : Wake-up timer Verify : Verify that a task runs after the computer is in sleep mode. The task should wake the computer to run. To verify that a task runs after the computer is in sleep mode: 1.Click theStart button and typeTask Scheduler in theStart Search box. 2.Select theTask Scheduler program to start Task Scheduler. 3.ClickCreate Task. On theGeneral tab, specify a name for the task. On theActions tab, specify an action for the task. On theTriggers tab, clickNew, and define a trigger for the task that sets the task to run a few minutes in the future by selecting to begin the task On a schedule and specifying the associated parameters. ClickOK. 4.On the Conditions tab of the task, select the Wake the computer to run this task check box. 5.ClickOK. 6.Verify that no errors are reported when the task is created by selecting the newly created task and then clicking theHistory tab. Verify that it does not show any partial registration failures for the task. 7.Put the computer in sleep mode. 8.Verify that the computer wakes from sleep mode and runs the task as expected. Verify that the specified action was run, or click the History tab for the task in Task Scheduler to verify that it contains events indicating that the task was started successfully. |
