Event Information | According to Microsoft : Diagnose : This error might be caused by one of the following conditions:
The printer IP address or subnet is wrong If the affected printer is a network printer, physically check the printer or use the printer's configuration Web page (if available) to verify that it has an IP address in the same subnet as the site listed in the Location field for the printer in the printer's Properties dialog box. If the printer does not have the correct subnet, see the section titled "Renew the printer IP address and subnet". There are DNS problems To check DNS functionality:
This event is logged when the printer IP address or subnet is wrong. Cause : This event is logged when there are DNS problems. Resolution : Renew the printer IP address and subnet To fix a printer with an incorrect IP address and subnet, perform the following actions:
Fix DNS server problems To resolve DNS server problems, restart the DNS Server service on the DNS server. To do this, open the Services snap-in from the Administrative Tools folder, click the DNS Server service, and then click the Restart Service toolbar button. To verify that you resolved the problem, on a client computer, print a document to the shared printer that uses the Line Printer Remote (LPR) service. |
