Description | Request from X.X.X.X could not be satisfied: possibly due to network problems. NOTE: X.X.X.X is the TCP/IP address of the client computer. |
Event Information | After data is transmitted and a host closes the connection, LPR/LPD print jobs that were sent from the host to a Windows 2000-based print server do not work. The following Event 4010 entry from the Line Printer Daemon Service (Lpdsvc.dll) is generated in the Event log of the Windows 2000-based computer: CAUSE: This problem may occur because the code in Windows 2000 and Microsoft Windows XP treat an abortive disconnection as an error that prevents any printing from continuing. RESOLUTION: To resolve this problem, obtain the latest service pack for Windows 2000. |
