Description | Driver or device is incorrectly configured for. |
Event Information | Details: When OTM is enabled for NetBackup clients with virtual devices, upon reboot of the client, the OTM driver (OTMAN4 for Windows NT 4.0 and OTMAN5 for Windows 2000) will report an Event ID 3 with the error above. This error occurs because the OTM driver is attempting to obtain information about the virtual device and is failing. In most cases this is a benign error and can be safely ignored. In systems in which the error is being seen at times other than reboots (such as during backups) or is accompanied by hung bpbkar32.exe processes (as observed by having numerous bpbkar32.exe processes in the Windows Task Manager while no backups are running), |
