Event Information | According to BUSINESS OBJECTS : CAUSE: Changes made to registry permissions from the Crystal Reports 8.0 installation cause this issue. Uninstalling Crystal Reports 8.0 does not undo the changes. RESOLUTION: To restore your registry permissions to their previous settings, follow step 1. If you are connecting to an ODBC database through Crystal Reports, then follow steps 1 and 2. 1. Run a registry update to restore permissions Run the file following the instructions in the Readme.txt. This restores Windows NT/2000 registry permissions back to their default settings. 2. Obtain an updated Crystal Reports ODBC database driver (P2sodbc.dll) This Crystal Reports ODBC driver (version 8.0.0.85) allows connections to be made to a ODBC data source with default registry permissions settings. Previous versions of this driver cannot connect to a ODBC data source with default registry permissions. |
