Event Information | Reproducible Steps 1. From the Start menu, select Programs, Administrative Tools, and double-click Computer Management. 2. Remove the domain administrators group from the local administrators group. 3. Insert the Application Software CD that contains the .msi file in the servers CD drive. 4. Share the CD drive and give permissions to the local administrators group. 5. Package the application through the Citrix Management Console using a domain administrator account. 6. Add a target MetaFrame server for installation of the package. 7. Within the Citrix Management Console, verify the status of the job. The status will indicate "Failure." 8. Open the Event Viewer on the target MetaFrame server. View the Application Log and notice the Event ID 3601 errors. 9. From the Installation Manager node in the left hand pane of the Citrix Management Console, select Properties. 10. From the Configuration tab, locate the Network Account Section. 11. The network account being used within the Citrix Management Console does not have sufficient permission to access the share point where the package is being stored. Resolution: Ensure that the network account being used in the Citrix Management Console has sufficient permissions to access the package share point. |
