Reason: [Microsoft][ODBC SQL Server Driver][SQL Server]Cannot open database requested in login QUALITY_SYSTEMS_INTERNATIONAL_CRMCRYSTAL. Login fails.). |
Event Information | This information from some newsgroups may help you: ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Crystal APS service doesnt start automatically at machine boot if Crystal Enterprise 9 is installed and APS database has been migrated to DB2 because it fails to connect to APS database. Crystal APS service fails to start automatically at machine boot even though it is set to start automatically (Control Panel -> Services -> Crystal APS) If Crystal Enterprise 9 is installed, and APS database has been migrated to DB2, then no dependency is defined to let Crystal APS service to start only after DB2 is running. If, at machine boot, the database starts up after Crystal APS service, then Crystal APS fails to connect to APS database. The problem is that in a Crystal installation with APS database on MSSQL (the default), a dependency of CrystalAPS service on MSSQLServer one is set at installation time. This makes CrystalAPS service to start only after MSSQLServer is running. If you migrate APS database to DB2, no analogous dependency is set. Furthermore, from Crystal Configuration Manager it isnt possible to add it, because DB2 services are not present in the list of the all possible dependencies. |
