Event Information | According to Microsoft: CAUSE: This problem only occurs when the message is digitally signed. It does not occur if the message is digitally signed and encrypted. 1. You run an antivirus program on the Exchange computer that uses the Antivirus Application Program Interface (AVAPI), such as McAfee GroupShield 6.0 for Microsoft Exchange. 2. The AVAPI-based antivirus program is configured to use transport scanning. 3. You send a digitally signed message as a user who is hosted on the Exchange server that is running the antivirus program. RESOLUTION: A supported hotfix is now available from Microsoft, but it is only intended to correct the problem.Only apply it to systems that are experiencing this specific problem.You must restart the Microsoft Exchange Information Store service on the Exchange computer. |
