DescriptionThe time service discovered that the system time zone information was corrupted. The time service tried to reset the system time zone to GMT, but failed. The time service cannot start. The error was: %1
Event InformationAccording to Microsoft :
Cause :
This event is logged when the time service discovered that the system time zone information was corrupted.
Resolution :
Configure a time zone
The error in Event Viewer should provide additional information. Look for a time source other than the Microsoft time source that is causing time zone incompatibilities.Attempt to reconfigure the time zone manually. Perform the following procedure on the computer that is logging the event to be resolved.
To perform this procedure, you must have membership in Administrators or you must have been delegated the appropriate authority.
To configure a time zone manually:
  1. Click Start. In Start Search, type timedate.cpl, and then press ENTER. If the User Account Control dialog box appears, confirm that the action it displays is what you want, and then click Continue. The Date and Time dialog box opens.
  2. On the Date and Time tab, click Change time zone. The Time Zone Settings dialog box opens. In Time zone, select the appropriate time zone, and then press ENTER. The Time Zone Settings dialog box closes.
  3. In the Date and Time dialog box, click OK .
Verify :
To perform this procedure, you must have membership in Administrators or you must have been delegated the appropriate authority.
To verify that the Windows Time service is synchronizing correctly:
  1. Open a command prompt as an administrator. To open a command prompt as an administrator, click Start. In Start Search, type Command Prompt. At the top of the Start menu, right-click Command Prompt, and then click Run as administrator. If the User Account Control dialog box appears, confirm that the action it displays is what you want, and then click Continue.
  2. At the command prompt, type W32TM /tz, and then press ENTER. The command displays the time zone information. Confirm that the time zone information is correct.
