| Event Information | CAUSE: This error occurs when you try to restore a SQL Server 2000 backup to a SQL Server 7.0 instance. It is not possible to perform that type of restore. RESOLUTION: If you need to move data from an instance of SQL Server 2000 to an instance of SQL Server 7.0, you can use alternative methods including Data Transformation Services (DTS), Bulk Copy Program (BCP), or linked server queries. You can also upgrade your SQL Server 7.0 instance to SQL Server 2000 before attempting the restore. |
