Event Information | According to Microsoft : Cause : This event is logged when unable to read IO control information from an NBT device. Resolution : Obtain the latest service pack for a Windows 2000 system If the Windows 2000 TCP/IP performance counters are attempting to extract I/O control information from a network device, but no network device is present, the NBT Connections counter is unavailable, but other counters provided by Perfctrs.dll are available. To resolve this problem, obtain the latest service pack for Windows 2000. This problem can also occur if the performance counters attempt to extract I/O control information, but the network stack has not finished loading. This is a timing issue and does not necessarily indicate a problem. Verify : You can use Windows Reliability and Performance Monitor to verify that netowkr performance counters are properly collected and displayed in a Performance Monitor graph. In addition, you can use the typeperf command to get a list of the available counters on the local system. Membership in the local Administrators group is required to complete these procedures.
