Event Information | According to Microsoft: CAUSE: This behavior may occur if one or both of the following conditions are true: 1. You try to deactivate a user in Project Server 2003. 2. The synchronization operation does not successfully update the Active Directory Globally-Unique Identifier (AD GUID) for a user. RESOLUTION: 1. Log on as an administrator to Microsoft Office Project Web Access 2003. 2. Turn off the Clear User AD GUID option for the user. 3. Synchronize the Enterprise Resource Pool with Active Directory. 4. Click Admin. On the Administration overview page, click Manage users and groups. 5. On the Users page, click the user, and then click Modify user. 6. On the Modify User page, verify that either one or both of the following conditions are true. This error can occur when trying to publish using MS Project Standard 2002 having logged into the domain used by the MS Project Server. Make sure that the check box for Allow only Microsoft Project Professional to publish to this server is not checked. This can be found in Admin Manage enterprise features when logged to Project Web Access. 2. There is a hotfix to resolve this issue. This problem happens when attempting to synchronize Active Directory and Microsoft Project Server 2003. Microsoft has confirmed this cannot be done and it can only possible synchronizing between the specific group that you may created specifically for this purpose. This event appears when attempting to synchronize between Active Directory and Microsoft Project Server 2003. Microsoft PSS have confirmed that Project Server 2003 does not support synchronizing with built-in Active Directory groups, such as Domain Users.
