DescriptionPrintbrm.exe (the Printer Migration Wizard or the command-line tool) could not back up a dependent file for a language monitor. Dependent file: %1. Error: %2. This can occur if the file was deleted or moved.
Event Information According to Microsoft :

Cause :

This event is logged when Printbrm.exe (the Printer Migration Wizard or the command-line tool) could not back up a dependent file for a language monitor.

Resolution :

Install a compatible printer driver

To restore all necessary language monitor files, you can reinstall or change the printer driver for the affected print queue. This reinstalls the language monitor, which is a part of the printer driver.

To update or change the printer drivers for a particular printer, use the following procedure. Client computers automatically download and install the updated printer drivers the next time they attempt to print to the printer.

Note : When installing printer drivers that are provided by the device manufacturer, follow the instructions provided with the printer driver instead of using this procedure.

To update or change printer drivers for a printer:
  1. Right-click the printer with the driver that you want to change or update, and then click Properties .
  2. Click the Advanced tab.
  3. Select a new driver in the Driver box, or click New Driver to install a new printer driver.
To support client computers that use processor architectures that are different from the one used by the print server, you must install additional drivers. To add client printer drivers to the print server, see the "Update or change printer drivers" topic in Print Management Help.

Verify :

To verify that the printers were exported properly, retry exporting printers and then confirm that they were exported successfully. To export printers by using Print Management or the Printbrm.exe command-line tool, use either of the following procedures.

To export printers by using the Print Management snap-in:
  1. Open the Print Management snap-in.
  2. In the Print Management tree, right-click the name of the computer that contains the printer queues that you want to export, and then click Export printers to a file . This starts the Printer Migration Wizard, which you can use to export printers.
  3. Verify that the Printer Migration Wizard reports the following outcome: "The operation completed with no errors."
To export printers from the command line:
  1. Open the Command Prompt window.
  2. At the command prompt, type the following command: CD %WINDIR%\System32\Spool\Tools
  3. Type the following command, where is the name of the server from which you want to export printers and is the name of the printer settings file: Printbrm -s \\ -b f .printerExport
  4. Confirm that the output of the command includes the following text: "Successfully finished operation."
