Description | The security descriptor stored in the Registry for the share NETLOGON was invalid. The share was not automatically recreated. |
Event Information | According to Microsoft: CAUSE: This problem occurs when the Services.exe process stops responding because of heap corruption. The heap corruption occurs becaused the Server service uses a pointer to the security descriptor when the security descriptor has already been released. RESOLUTION: A supported hotfix is now available from Microsoft, but it is only intended to correct the problem. Apply it only to systems that are experiencing this specific problem. Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in Microsoft Windows NT 4.0. |
