Event Information | CAUSE:
This behavior may occur if you set the IRPStackSize registry value (manually or programmatically) to less than 11 decimal. By default, the IRPStackSize value is set to 15 in Windows 2000. Note that the minimum setting that is permitted is 11. To set this value, double-click the IRPStackSize value, click DWORD on the Edit menu, type 15, and then click OK (make sure that decimal is selected under Base.) RESOLUTION: To return the IRPStackSize value to the default setting: Click Start, and then click Run. In the Open box, type regedt32, and then press Enter. Locate and then click the following registry key: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\Lanmanserver\Parameters Click the IRPStackSize value. On the Edit menu, click Delete. Quit Registry Editor, and then restart Windows 2000. STATUS: This behavior is by design. |
