Description | Service failed to create a USN change journal on volume |
Event Information | According To Microsoft: Cause: DFS Replication failed to create an NTFS change journal on the volume. The system requires a minimum of 512 MB of free space on the volume to attempt to recreate the journal. DFS Replication will not be able to proceed with replication on the volume until this issue is fixed. Resolution: Verify that there is at least 512 MB of free space on the volume where the journal is stored. In the event the journal has an internal error and 512 MB of space cannot be recovered by moving or deleting files, running Chkdsk on the volume will recover the space used by the corrupt journal. |
