| Event Information | According tomicrosoft: You might receive one or more error messages (event 21171, 21173, or 21176) related to domain issues with the Agent Manager. These error messages are generated after the first initial managed computer scan following the installation of the agent. After the manually installed agent computer is successfully added to the appropriate computer groups and it starts receiving instructions for the processing rule groups from the Consolidator, then you can remove the Managed Computer rule for the manually installed agent computer. This will stop these error messages from occurring. However, the agent computer must be added to the ManualMC.txt file. Otherwise, when you remove the Managed Computer rule, the agent computer will be removed from the computer groups.</p> <p>Also, if you have firewalls between many agents and the DCAM, agent computers might not be able to send heartbeats to the DCAM on a regular basis. This might cause a backlog on the DCAM. For more information, see Network issues cause a backlog on the Consolidator in the Troubleshooting section of this chapter. |
