Description | Process <process name> (PID=<process id>). DS Server name specified in the registry (<distinguished name>) was not found in the Sites containerin the Active Directory. DSAccess will not use this server as a Domain Controller or Global Catalog. |
Event Information | According to Microsoft: This event indicates that the domain controllers or global catalog servers specified by the registry keys do not exist. DSAccess will not revert to the standard mechanism of automatic topology discovery, so if all domain controllers or global catalog servers in the registry are nonexistent, this can result in services startup failure or halting of mail flow, so it should be investigated immediately. The relevant registry key is HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\MsExchangeDSAccess\Profiles\Default\<USERDCNAME>\hostname. User Action : Check the spelling of the hostnames specified in the above mentioned registry key and verify that such domain controllers and/or global catalog servers exist in the topology. However, it is recommended to specify domain controllers and global catalog servers in the registry only if the automatically chosen topology produces undesirable results. In such a case, determine what the problem is, fix it, and delete the registry value so that the topology is discovered automatically. |
