Description | "Process %1 (PID=%2). No Global Catalog server is up in the local site %3. DSAccess will use the following out of site Global Catalog servers:" |
Event Information | According to Microsoft: Cause: This event results when the DSAccess topology detection engine is unable to contact any Global Catalogs in the same site as the Exchange Server. If the topology includes other sites, DSAccess will automatically switch to using all the 10 Global Catalogs it can contact outside the local site. If the number of extra-site Global Catalogs is small, this may result in Exchange performance problems. If there is only one site in the topology (or the nearest non-local site has no Global Catalogs), the condition is critical and all mail flow will stop. User Action : DSAccess will automatically re-detect and use a Global Catalog in the local site within 5 minutes after one becomes available. The loss of all Global Catalogs in a site is an unusual occurrence that must be investigated. |
