Event Information | "Information From This Group May Help you…..": 1. Restart the server normally. (I want to see a "clean" boot in the event logs). 2. save the event logs to a file (system and application) and post them on a free site - for example if you have a yahoo account, you can make your own geocities site - post the files there so that we can download them and review them. 3. Look for and post any mini-datecode.dmp files there may be. Now, that stuff aside, have you tried: 1. open the case and use a can of compressed air to blow it out. (I assume its named basement for a reason - and among other things, its located in the basement - and most basements Ive seen tend to get dusty quickly). 2. Confirm all the fans are working - CPU, case, Power Supply 3. Used RAM testing software such as the utilities found on the ultimate boot cd . 4. Tried swapping out RAM 5. Tried removing the case and let it run as is without a cover. 6. a good number of lockups Ive seen have been caused by overheating. 7. a good number of lockups Ive seen have also been cuased by bad drivers. Review all the drivers you have on there and look for possible new ones - and look for possible old ones - sometimes new drivers are buggier than old and cause more problems. |
