Event Information | According to Microsoft : Cause : This Error event indicates that the Microsoft? Exchange POP3 (MSExchangePOP3) service has disabled protocol logging on the Client Access server where the MSExchangePOP3 service runs. The MSExchangePOP3 service disables protocol logging because the specified configuration attribute in the Microsoft.Exchange.Pop3.exe.config file has an invalid value. The Microsoft.Exchange.Pop3.exe.config file contains configuration information for the MSExchangePOP3 service. Users who access their e-mail using a POP3 client are not affected by this event. Resolution : To resolve the error, set a valid value for the specified parameter in the Microsoft.Exchange.Pop3.exe.config file by following these steps: 1.Open the configuration file,Microsoft.Exchange.Pop3.exe.config,for editing in notepad. The configuration file is located under the file path Note In the file path, 2.Set the parameter indicated by ?%1? to a valid value. 3.Save the file. 4.Restart the Microsoft Exchange POP3 service (MSExchangePOP3) from theServices snap-in. |
