| Event Information | According to BMCSoftware Resolution: The above error messages are generated by the following services: - Remote Access Auto Connection Manager Service - Remote Access Connection Manager Service - Telephony service If these services are installed, but stopped and disabled, then PATROL is attempting to access these counters, thus generating the errors in Event Viewer. If enabling and starting is not an option, (which will prevent the error messages from being generated), disable the performance counter associated with them. To disable the extensible performance counters, download "exctrlst_setup.exe" from the following URL : On the right, download exctrlst_setup.exe (this will run the install for this program). Execute program (exctrlst.exe) through W2K explorer, then select the performance counter to disable (this automatically modifies the pertinent registry entry). The exctrlst.exe utility is also available in the Windows 2000 resource kit. |
