Event Information | This message from newsgroup may help you: -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Resolution: Not being an Oracle or SQL Server expert, I'd probably never recommend to anyone to cluster these applications together on the same cluster. I really hope your two nodes are very beefy as running that many Business-Critical applications on an Active-Active cluster seems like asking too much. First I'd separate Oracle and SQL from each other - onto separate clusters. Then, you still need to evaluate if you have enough system resources to host the remaining applications on a single node; just because you can run loads of stuff on separate Active-Active nodes, doesn't mean you have a great Cluster design. You definitely need to consider the capacity and performance issues of a fail-over. You need enough headroom to host all the clustered apps on a single node to maintain system availability and uptime. If not, you should consider adding a third/fourth Passive node to the cluster to give you that additional capacity. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
