| Event Information | Details: The VERITAS Bare Metal Restore (tm) software always logs its messages on the local machine with the above stated message. The actual error message is show in the last part of the log information. "The following information is part of the event: <actual error message being reported>" The same error message information is also logged to the Bare Metal Restore master server. The location where it is being written depends on how the master server was configured for messaging. If the user selects syslog, then the messages are in the syslog entries for the system. If the user selects messages, then the information can be found in the file /var/bmr/log/messages. When reporting error messages, use the correct portion of the displayed event message. |
