Event Information | After you upgrade a Windows 2000 Advanced Server-based computer to Service Pack 3 (SP3) or Service Pack 4 (SP4), the hard disk array controller driver may not load correctly. Instead, an "Event 17" message may appear in the System event log. CAUSE: This problem may occur when you use the /PAE switch in the Boot.ini file on a computer with a drive array controller that uses the Cpqfcac.sys or the Cpqdaen.sys driver. This problem has been known to occur on computers that have the Compaq Drive Array Event Notification driver and the Compaq StorageWorks Fibre Channel Array controller installed.
