Event Information | After an unattended installation of the Windows NT 4.0 Option Pack, including Certificate Server version 1.0, the Certificate Authority service fails to start. This application event log entry will be generated at that time. CAUSE: The problem is caused by the unattended Setup program not adding the required ODBC data source for the Certificate Server database. STATUS: Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Certificate Server version 1.0. Information From One Of The Group May Help You ..Try running Check Disk and select the option to automatically fix file system errors. If that does not help you could try to restore a recent System State backup before this all happened. There may be quicker or other fixes but offhand. |
