Description | Last adapter has lost link. Network connection has been lost. |
Event Information | This information from some newsgroups may help you: ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ The Intel Advanced Network Service Transport enables the dual card to hide the 2 nics behind the virtual Network driver. In affect masking the fact that there are 2 nics, and allowing both cards to bind to the same IP address. The 7000 error is a relatively common error with this driver and is caused by 3rd party software (ClearCase in this case) registering a different dll than the one expected by the Intel driver or registering the dlls in the wrong order. According to Intel technical support, 99% of the time the error does not stop the drivers from functioning as expected they just become general annoyance errors in the log. Getting Intels latest patch for this card can alleviate the error. Go to support.intel.com and search for 100PDisk. You will get exactly 1 hit, the patch! Intel recommends removing the old driver and nic drivers prior to installing this patch. Dell technical support provides the following information as well. The above patch does not ALWAYS resolve this issue because it does not necessarily re-register the correct dlls. They resolve this issue by editing the NT registry as follows. This edit will most often resolve the error without Intels patch. NEVER remove adapters prior to removing the team! Then install the patch. Afterwards, reboot and the problem should be resolved. |
