DescriptionAutomatic certificate enrollment for Haybuv\User1 failed to contact Active Directory (0x8007054b). The specified domain either does not exist or could not be contacted. Enrollment will not be performed.
Event Information According to Microsoft :
Cause :
Autoenrollment starts every time Group Policy is updated or when a user logs on to Windows. Each time autoenrollment starts, it tries to contact the Active Directory directory service. This event, Autoenrollment 15, is logged when autoenrollment fails to contact Active Directory. If the computer cannot contact Active Directory, for example when a laptop computer is not connected to the corporate network, this event appears in the Event Viewer. This is expected and normal.
Resolution :
If the computer does not currently have connectivity to Active Directory, then no user action is required. If the event is repeatedly generated after the computer has established a connection to Active Directory, verify that the computer can receive Group Policy updates by using the Gpupdate.exe command-line utility.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
This error most often occurs when a user is logged on to a machine with cached credentials and is offline. Therefore, autoenrollment cannot continue and will be tried later.

The Autoenrollment Process:
The autoenrollment feature handles all aspects of certificate enrollment, renewal and certificate housekeepingexcept in the case where user interaction is explicitly defined on a certificate template in Active Directory. When the autoenrollment process is triggered by Winlogon or a Group Policy refresh interval, the operating system queries Active Directory to download the appropriate certificate stores into the local store on the client machine; for example, the NTAuth container and certificate templates. This is a transparent activity that is processed asynchronously.
