| Event Information | According to Microsoft : Explanation : This event indicates that the Volume Shadow Copy Service user name account in the following registry key is not valid: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\VSS\VssAccessControl. Volume Shadow Copy Service can interact with writers running under Local System, local Administrators or local Backup Operators accounts. It can also interact with writers not running under one of those accounts if the account is added to this registry key. Cause : Possible causes include: *The account listed under the VssAccessControl key is not valid. Resolution : Use a valid account for the VssAccessControl key. |
