DescriptionUnable to initialize due to a missing or damaged configuration file. [valuevaluevaluevalue] (16)
Event InformationAccording to Microsoft:
EXPLANATION:
An error occurred during the processing of a configuration file or group of files. The files are either missing or corrupted. If the message transfer agent (MTA) does not initialize upon startup, consider replacing the files in \Exchsrvr\Mtadata.
USER ACTION:
Check the files in the \Exchsrvr\Mtadata directory to verify that they exist. If the files do not exist or if you suspect that they may be corrupted, copy the files from the Microsoft Exchange Server installation CD to the \Exchsrvr\Mtadata directory. Remove the read-only attribute from the files, and then try to start the message transfer agent (MTA) service. If the error persists, copy the files from the latest Service Pack or Hotfix CD to the \Exchsrvr\Mtadata directory. Remove the read-only attribute from the files, and then try to start the MTA service. You can check the registry for the location of the Run path and Database path for the MTA.
