Event Information | According to Microsoft : Cause : The WINS record is specific to Windows 2000 and is attached only to the zone root domain. Resolution : Verify that your WINS IP addresses are correct. If the addresses are correct, test them by using the ping or nbtstat utilities. If resolution is successful, enable DNS for Windows Resolution. 1.Open Control Panel, and then double-click Network and Dial-up Connections. 2.Right-click the network connection, and then clickProperties. 3.Click Internet Protocol (TCP/IP),and then clickProperties. 4.Click Advanced, and then theWINS tab. 5.Verify that the IP addresses for both the primary and secondary WINS servers are correct, and that the Enable NetBIOS over TCP/IP radio button is selected. 6.ClickOK. |
