| Event Information | The following events randomly appear in the application event log on an Internet Information Server (IIS) computer running Microsoft Site Server version 3.0, Commerce Edition:
CAUSE: This error can occur if the MSDTC is not the correct version or there is a mismatch of versions between multiple computers running MSDTC. WORKAROUND: To work around this problem, upgrade the MSDTC service to the Windows NT SP4 version of DTC. The MSDTC service can be updated in one of the following ways: Download the latest MSDTC from the following location: ftp://ftp.microsoft.com/bussys/distapps/MTS/Public- Fixes/usa/DTC/SvcPack/i386/dtcsetup.exe. NOTE: This will update the MSDTC service and associated files when executed. Install the NTOP on the SQL Server 6.5 computer. Upgrade to Windows NT SP4 on the SQL Server 6.5 computer. |
