| Description | CSG1209 Unable to bind to IP interface (27.0.0.1:14940). |
| Event Information | CAUSE: The Secure Gateway Service uses localhost:14940 as an internal interface to the Secure Gateway console. If the Secure Gateway server is unable to resolve the localhost to 127.0.0.1, the Secure Gateway Service will return a CSG1209 error indicating the service was unable to bind to IP interface [x.x.x.x:14940] as shown in the above screen capture. This may occur if the hosts file on the Secure Gateway server has an incorrect address defined for the localhost. RESOLUTION: Confirm the Secure Gateway server is able to resolve the localhost against an IP address of 127.0.0.1. |
