Description | Internal server information for file "[PATH to FILE]:AFP_AfpInfo" was corrupted. Setting default information. |
Event Information | According to Microsoft: CAUSE: Files that are created on one Services for Macintosh volume are attached an AFP_info stream to them. If they are never accessed on that server from a Macintosh computer, the stream size is zero. When the server determines that there is already a stream with a size of zero (which is incorrect from that servers perspective), the AFP_info stream is reset to the default value. This is logged in the event log as an error. The description of the event log is misleading. RESOLUTION: Use Disk Administrator to change the drive letter of the partition exhibiting the problem. For example, if drive D had the original Macintosh volume, change it to drive E (as long as E is not being used by another device). Restart the computer running Windows NT and attempt to create the volume. If this is successful, you can use Disk Administrator to change back to the original drive letter. This procedure damages the NTFS data stream and forces MacFile to regenerate it. This step is only necessary if you are sharing the root of the drive. |
