Event Information | Resolution: The problem is corrected by upgrading to the Compaq Survey Utility for Windows Version 2.36 (or later). The Compaq Survey Utility for Windows Version 2.36 is available for download as Component Pack CP000793 or in Compaq SmartStart for Servers Release 5.10. As a workaround, the ProLiant Storage System driver (PRLNTSS.SYS) must be disabled. However, if the driver is disabled, the following benefits will be lost: Intelligent management of the disk tray online status indicators. Logging to system event log for critical conditions and hot-plug events. Support for the Compaq Insight Management Agents for Microsoft Windows NT 4.0. To disable the ProLiant Storage System driver (PRLNTSS.SYS) in Windows 2000 1. Click Start --> Programs --> Administrative Tools --> Computer Management. 2. Under System Tools, Select Device Manager. 3. Click on the "+" sign on System Tools to expand it. 4. Select the ProLiant Storage System device. 5. Right-click and select "disable". To disable the ProLiant Storage System driver (PRLNTSS.SYS) in Windows NT 4.0 1. Click Start --> Settings --> Control Panel. 2. Click on the Services applet. 3. Locate & highlight the ProLiant Storage System driver (PRLNTSS.SYS). 4. Click on the Stop button. |
