Event Information | According to Microsoft: Cause: An error occurred when the Exchange Information Store service tried to initialize the Internet Conversion Library. The service will not start if this error occurs. Resolution: Check the specific error code returned. If the code is IMAIL_E_CODE_PAGE_CONVERSION (0x80040c07), then the problem is likely to be that the code pages required for conversion are missing (corrupt or inadvertently deinstalled). If this is the case, the fix is to reinstall the code pages for US ASCII (20127) and Latin 1 (1252). Go to Regional and Language Options -> Advanced -> make sure 20127 and 1252 are checked. The Microsoft Exchange Information Store service may not start on your Microsoft Exchange Server 2003 computer that has Exchange Server 2003 Service Pack 1 installed. You must restart the following components after you install this hotfix Information Store service 1 World Wide Web Publishing Service 2 Simple Mail Transfer Protocol (SMTP) 3 Microsoft Exchange routing engine 4 Network News Transport Protocol (NNTP) Microsoft Internet Information Services (IIS) Admin Service. |
