Description | The World Wide Web Publishing Service (WWW Service) did not construct valid URLs for virtual site %1. Therefore, the virtual site %1 will be stopped. This can be caused by invalid characters in the site bindings. The following characters are not allowed in a site binding: "\"" "/" "\\" "[" "]" ":" "|" " " "<" ">" "+" "=" ";" "," "?" "*" "%" "#" "@" "{" "}" "^" "`". To fix this problem please remove invalid characters from the site bindings. |
Event Information | According to Microsoft : Cause : This event is logged when the World Wide Web Publishing Service (WWW Service) did not construct valid URLs for virtual site. Resolution : Add or edit site bindings Ensure that the site has bindings with a valid port and IP address configured, and that the IP address and port configured for this Web site are not already being used by another site or entity. Only one Web site can be bound to a particular IP/port pairing at one time. After you add or edit bindings, you may have to restart the Web site, and, in some cases, the HTTP service. To perform these procedures, you must have membership in Administrators , or you must have been delegated the appropriate authority.
