Event Information | According to Microsoft: CAUSE 1.: This behavior may occur if the antivirus program that is installed on your computer is configured to block all attachments that use the .dat extension. This behavior has been reported to occur with Trend Micros ScanMail for Microsoft Exchange product. CAUSE 2.: This issue can occur because Exchange Server 5.5 Service Pack 3 makes virus-scanning APIs available to speed up attachment scanning. Because of this, certain replication problems can occur if the replication messages contain attachments. RESOLUTION 1.: To resolve this issue, configure your antivirus program to turn off (disable) blocking for .dat files. For more information about how to turn off the blocking of specific file types in your antivirus program, see the program documentation or contact the software manufacturer. RESOLUTION 2.: To resolve this issue, temporarily uninstall the anti-virus application programming interface (API) scanner and apply the information store fix, build 5.5.2652.42. |
