Description | The ntdsConnection object CN=SERVER,CN=NTDS Settings,CN=SERVER,CN=Servers,CN=Default-First-Site-Name,CN=Sites,CN=Configuration,DC=<domain controller>,DC=<domain suffix> dictates that the local server should replicate from itself. This is not a valid configuration and will be ignored. Please use the Active Directory Sites and Services Manager to modify or delete this object. |
Event Information | Following information from newsgroup post may help you to resolve this problem. 1. "There is a replication connection for your DC to itself. This is not valid, and the KCC and replication are ignoring it. You can delete it." 2. "open AD Sites and services. browse to the server listed in it. in the NTDS settings you will have a connection either named "automaticconnection....." or some wierd charachters. delete this connection. this is a scenario in which you have only 1 DC. Note:Do not proceed with this process if you have more then 1 DC." |
