Event Information | According to Microsoft : Cause : This event is logged when DHCP service failed to initialize its configuration parameters. Resolution : Restart the DHCP Server service To perform these procedures, you must be a member of the Administrators group, or you must have been delegated the appropriate authority. To restart the DHCP Server service: 1.At the DHCP server computer, click Start, click Run, type services.msc, and then click OK. 2.Double-click DHCP Server. 3.On the General tab, click Stop, and then click Start. 4.On the File menu, click Exit. Verify : To verify that clients are getting leased IP addresses from the DHCP server: 1.At the DHCP-enabled client computer, click Start, in Start Search type cmd, and then press ENTER. 2.To verify the lease of the client with a DHCP server, type ipconfig /all to view lease-status information. 3.In the output of ipconfig /all verify that the DHCP Server address matches the address of the expected DHCP server. If the address belongs to a different DHCP server than expected, the expected server might not have initialized and another available DHCP server has provided the lease. |
