Event Information | Following information from newsgroup post may help: "Im having a problem with my PE4600. I have a Quantum SDLT SCSI drive in it and whenever I have to restart, the removable storage service gives me the following error: This problem only affects version 3.2.x of the Dell OpenManage products. This should be resolved with the next quarterly release of the Dell OpenManage products. By disabling the Diagnostic service, you are only losing the ability to run system diagnostics from inside the Dell OpenManage Server Administrator program. If, instead of disabling the Diagnostic service, you only rename the following 2 files (and reboot), only the tape drive diagnostics will be affected: InstallDir/OpenManage/oldiags/vendor/pcdoctor/modules/tapedrivediag.exe InstallDir/OpenManage/oldiags/vendor/pcdoctor/modules/tapelibrarydiag.exe" ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ "If you use Tapeware as your backup software, disable service Removable storage at start up. (for "Windows 2000). ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ "If Group Policy is configured for clients, this problem may be resolved as follows. Open GroupPolicy Editor and give full permission for administrators group, backup operators and system account to Removable storage in Computer configuration section. Here is the full path. ComputerConfiguration-Windows Settings-Security Settings-System Services-Removable Storage." |
