Event Information | RESOLUTION: To prevent the Windows 2000 System Log from becoming full, set the Event Log to "Overwrite events as needed." To do this, perform the following: 1. Click Start -> Settings -> Control Panel 2. Administrative Tools -> Computer Management. 3. Expand the Event Viewer folder. 4. Right-click on the System icon and choose "Properties." 5. Click the "Overwrite events as needed" radio button. 6. Click on the "OK" button. 7. Close Computer Management. NOTE: The default size for the Event Log is 512 KB. This may be increased at the administrators discretion by increasing the number (in MB) in the "Maximum log size" area. |
