Event Id | 1022 |
Source | POP3SVC |
Description | DS lookup for user <user name>, connecting from <host name>, failed with error <error code>. |
Event Information | According to Microsoft: EXPLANATION: This event indicates that when a POP3 client made an attempt to access a mailbox on the Exchange Server, the attempt failed because lookup of Active Directory for that user failed. This behavior occurs because the value in the User Logon Name (Pre-Windows 2000) box does not match the value in the Mailbox Alias box. USER ACTION: 1. Verify that the Mailbox Alias value and the User Logon Name (Pre-Windows 2000) value match. 2. Enter the logon credentials in the format DomainName\LogonName\MailboxAlias when you are connecting through POP3. |
