For more information, check the system event log. You may also be unable to install network adapters. This problem occurs because the System registry hive is not correctly restored to the Windows registry after you restore Windows. To resolve this problem, reinstall SP1 for Windows XP. This issue may occur if the following services are disabled: 1. Telephony. 2. Remote Access Connection Manager. 3. Remote Access Auto Connection Manager. |
