Event InformationYou post an item to a Network News Transfer Protocol (NNTP) subordinate server, and it is pushed up to the NNTP master server. However, the item is not posted on the NNTP subordinate server, and the client that is connected to the NNTP subordinate server cannot view the post. The following event ID message is logged in the system event log
This issue occurs if one or more of the following conditions is true:
You modified the virtual directory for the NNTP subordinate server to point to a file share.
The NNTP subordinate server does not have a public folder store or its public folder store has been dismounted.
You modified the Access Control Lists (ACLs) on the file share for the NNTP subordinate server.
You removed the Everyone group from the file share, and the NNTP news feed from the master server cannot access the file share to push the post to the subordinate server.
To resolve this issue if you removed the Everyone group from the ACL on the file share, follow these steps:
Add the System group to the share, and then give Full Control permissions to the System group.
Add the Domain Admins group to the share, and then give Full Control permissions to the Domain Admins group.
Add the account that you want to post items to the share, and then give Read and Write permissions to that account. For example, configure specific users to post items, such as granting students Read and Write permissions on a Homework newsgroup.

On the NNTP feed from the master server, change the security to Basic Authentication.NOTE: Use an administrator account that is part of the Domain Admins group.
